Privacy Policy

"Personal information" refers to any information recorded in electronic or other form that, alone or in combination with other information, can identify a specific natural person or reflect the activities of a specific natural person.

When you use the App, information we may process includes, but is not limited to: device identifiers (UUID), device model, operating system version, network connection type, and pet profile information you choose to provide (such as pet species, breed, age, weight, body condition score, health tags, and allergen records).

1. Device Identifier

The App uses anonymous device-based identification. A unique device identifier is generated from your device's UUID and stored in the system Keychain. No account registration (name, email, or password) is required.

2. Pet Profile Data

Information you enter about your pet — including name, species, breed, birthday, weight, body condition score (BCS), health tags, and allergen records — is stored locally on your device only and is not uploaded to our servers.

3. Diet, Weight & Health Records

Your food diary entries, weight logs, exercise records, and poop analysis history are stored locally on your device only and are not uploaded to our servers.

4. Image Data (Important)

When you use AI features such as food photo recognition or poop health analysis, the photos you capture or select are transmitted via an encrypted connection through our servers to the OpenAI API for analysis. Our servers act solely as a secure relay — we do not persistently store your images or analysis content on our servers. Please see Section IV for full details.

5. App Usage Analytics

We collect anonymized usage statistics through Google Firebase, including app crash reports and de-identified behavioral data (such as feature usage frequency and navigation paths). This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is used solely to monitor stability and improve the App.

6. Purchase Information

When you make in-app purchases, transactions are processed by Apple App Store. We receive only the purchase receipt from Apple and do not collect your payment card details.

• To provide and maintain the App's features and services, and to ensure compatibility with your device.
• To process your AI analysis requests (food recognition, poop analysis, food safety queries, AI health advice, etc.).
• To send notifications directly related to the App, including version update alerts, feature guides, feeding reminders, and subscription status notifications.
• To handle feedback you submit through the in-app feedback channel, using only the contact information you voluntarily provide.
• To improve App performance and features through anonymized statistical analysis.
• To enhance App security and prevent fraud, cyber-attacks, and other security risks.
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations and Apple App Store requirements.

If we intend to use your information for any purpose not stated in this policy, we will seek your prior consent.

Our Partners

We share information with the following partners only to the extent necessary to provide the Service. Partners are not authorized to use shared information for any other purpose.

Legal Disclosure

We may disclose your information when required by applicable law, regulation, or lawful requests from judicial or administrative authorities. We will take commercially reasonable steps to limit such disclosures to what is legally required.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will require any successor to continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy, or to obtain your consent before changing how your information is handled.

With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties for any other purpose with your prior express consent.

Access & Control

You may view, edit, or delete your pet profiles and all associated records at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App will permanently clear all locally stored data.

Permissions Management

You may manage the App's access to your camera, photo library, and network at any time through your device's system settings. Revoking certain permissions may affect the availability of specific features.

Withdraw Consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent to our collection and use of your information at any time. Withdrawal may affect your access to certain features.

Complaints

If you believe our handling of your personal information violates your rights, you may contact us via the details in Section XIII, or file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.

If you are under 18 years of age, please read and agree to this Privacy Policy under the supervision and guidance of a parent or legal guardian before using the App.

The App is primarily intended for adult pet owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it as soon as possible.

If you are the legal guardian of a minor and have questions about how their information is handled, please contact us using the details in Section XIII.

All in-app payments are processed through official channels provided by Apple Inc. You provide payment information directly to Apple, which operates a secure server to process payment details and encrypt your payment card information. The information you provide to Apple is not controlled by us and is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

The App integrates the following third-party services. Each is governed by its own privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their information-handling practices.

• Google Firebase (performance monitoring) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Open Pet Food Facts (pet food database) — world.openpetfoodfacts.org/privacy
• openFDA (food recall data) — open.fda.gov/apis/

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to changes in applicable law or business developments. The revised policy will be published within the App. If you continue to use the App after a revision, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated policy.

For material changes, we will provide advance notice through in-app notifications or other appropriate means.

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes arising from this Policy shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, the parties agree to submit the dispute to the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) for arbitration in accordance with its rules then in effect. The arbitration award shall be final and binding on both parties.
