Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: July 15, 2026

Period is designed as a local-first health tracking app. Your health profile and daily health records remain on your device. Limited technical, analytics, attribution, and purchase information is processed to operate, improve, and fund the app.

Important summary

1. Scope

This policy explains how the Period iOS app handles information when you use cycle, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, reminder, content, insight, and Premium features. It also covers the third-party software development kits and services integrated into the app.

2. Health data stored on your device

The following information is stored locally in the app’s protected iOS container:

Period does not use Apple Health, cloud sync, or a Period health-record account in this release. Local predictions and educational insights are calculated on the device.

3. Information processed outside your device

App analytics

Mixpanel and Firebase Analytics may process an app-generated anonymous identifier, app environment, app version, general screen views and feature actions, subscription plan, product identifiers, and limited error information. Events are designed not to contain health entries, exact cycle dates, pregnancy dates, symptoms, notes, fertility status, or other sensitive health values.

Attribution and advertising measurement

Singular may process app-install and campaign attribution information, device or advertising identifiers when permitted, IP address, app interactions, and purchase-related information. On supported iOS versions, Period requests App Tracking Transparency permission before tracking that requires permission. If permission is denied, the advertising identifier is unavailable or restricted.

Subscriptions and purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases, trial eligibility, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds. To load offers, verify access, and reconcile purchases, Period’s subscription service may process an app-generated anonymous identifier, an assigned anonymous user ID, registration time, app version, platform, country or region, product ID, transaction and original transaction IDs, price, currency, purchase time, StoreKit environment, and the page from which a purchase began. Purchase requests are transmitted over HTTPS and sensitive order payloads are additionally encrypted by the app.

Technical information

Network services ordinarily receive information such as IP address, device and operating-system characteristics, request time, and diagnostic data necessary to deliver and secure their services.

4. How information is used

Period does not sell your health records and does not use your health entries for targeted advertising.

5. Service providers and disclosure

Information may be processed by Apple for App Store and operating-system services; Mixpanel for product analytics; Google Firebase for analytics and purchase measurement; Singular for attribution and revenue measurement; and the infrastructure used to deliver subscription configuration and order reconciliation. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the app, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

6. Your choices and controls

Clearing local health data does not cancel an App Store purchase and does not automatically erase records already processed by Apple, analytics providers, attribution providers, or the subscription service. Use the developer support contact available on Period’s App Store product page to request assistance with applicable off-device data rights.

7. Retention

Local health data remains on your device until you edit it, clear it, or remove the app. Anonymous analytics and attribution data is retained according to operational needs and provider settings. Purchase and subscription records may be retained for as long as needed to provide access, prevent fraud, reconcile transactions, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Data is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to backups and legal obligations.

8. Security and international processing

Period relies on the iOS sandbox and data protection for local storage and uses encrypted network connections for remote services. No security method is perfect, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, with protections required by applicable law and their contractual commitments.

9. Children

Period is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. If you believe a child has provided off-device personal information without appropriate authorization, use the developer support contact on the App Store product page.

10. Health and safety

Period provides estimates, educational material, and personal reflection tools. It is not a medical device, diagnostic service, treatment provider, contraceptive method, or emergency service. Seek qualified medical care for health concerns and contact local emergency services in an emergency.

11. Changes and contact

This policy may change when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published. For privacy questions or requests, email support@picksai.vip. Do not send detailed health notes, payment credentials, or full transaction receipts in an initial support request.
